In the past:
Mari worked as a stage director and actress plus occasional film actress (Screen Actors Guild) for many years. She also worked in publicity and theatre management. Although she had designed some stage sets and posters, it wasn't until 2005 that Mari began to seriously study and produce fine and commercial art. She believes her work as a stage director helped her "see" color, form, content and composition like a visual artist. Sometimes realistic, sometimes surrealistic, Mari's art continues to evolve.
